One servitor injured, eight devotees taken ill during Bahuda Yatra in Puri

One Bhoi servitor was injured after the rope of Taladhwaja Chariot carrying Lord Balabhadra snapped near Market Chhak on the Grand Road in Puri on Wednesday.

Eight other devotees were also reportedly taken ill during pulling of Chariots due to suffocation.

Following the mishap, all the injured were shifted to the Puri District Headquarters Hospital for treatment.

During the Bhauda Yatra, the deities return to the Srimandir on their three grand chariots.
