A strong wave of devotion and spirituality swept across the country as the Pran Patishtha of Ram Mandir at Ayodhya was solemnised on Monday in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and scores of dignitaries from various fields. Prime Minister Narendra Modi broke his 11-day fast after concluding the ‘Pran Pratishtha’ rituals in Ayodhya on Monday.
He took a sip of ‘charnamrit’ to break his fast.
The charnamrit has five main ingredients -- yogurt (dahi), milk, honey, tulsi (Indian holy basil), and ghee.
The Prime Minister had undertaken a rigorous 11-day fast ahead of the Pran Pratishtha ceremony.
During this period, he only drank coconut water and slept on the floor.

Ministry of Information and Broadcasting on Sunday said that it has deployed two Arogya Maitri Disaster Management Cube-BHISHM mobile hospitals in Ayodhya a day ahead of Ram Mandir inauguration.
The ministry said that these mobile hospitals will bolster medical readiness and response capabilities for the Pran Pratishtha ceremony.
“This cube is a part of the broader initiative named project BHISHM – Bharat Health Initiative for Sahyog, Hita and Maitri, is tailored to treat up to 200 casualties, emphasising rapid response and comprehensive care,” the ministry said.
It said that the Aid Cube is equipped with several innovative tools designed to enhance disaster response and medical support during emergencies.
“It integrates Artificial Intelligence (AI) and data analytics to facilitate effective coordination, real-time monitoring, and efficient management of medical services in the field,” the ministry said.
Minister of State for Science and Technology Jitendra Singh on Sunday said that Ram Mandir structure in Ayodhya can withstand tremors up to magnitude 8 on the Richter scale and four national institutes have helped in its construction.

The All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) here has clarified that all clinical services will remain open on Monday (January 22) to provide seamless and uninterrupted patient care services.
Earlier on Saturday, Delhi AIIMS had announced that the hospital will remain closed till 2:30 p.m. to celebrate the 'Pran Pratishtha' ceremony of Ram temple in Ayodhya on January 22.
