Post Office Recruitment 2020 : The India Post had invited applications from interested and eligible candidates to apply for the various posts of Gramin Dak Sevaks. Candidates can apply for the post through online registration-cum-application process before November 6, 2020.
India Post Office Recruitment 2020 Vacancy Details
As many as 634 posts have been announced for Branch Postmaster (BPM), Assistant Branch Postmaster (ABPM) and Dak Sevak in various divisions of Himachal Postal Circle. Those are Chamba, Dehra Gopipur, Dharamsala, Hamirpur, Mandi, Rampur Bushahr, RMS HP Dn Mandi, Shimla, Solan and Una.
Educational Qualification
- The candidate must have Class 10th certificate with passing marks in Mathematics, local language and English (having been studied as compulsory or elective subjects) conducted by any recognized Board of School Education by the Government of India/State Governments/ Union Territories in India shall be a mandatory educational qualification for all approved categories of Gramin Dak Sevaks. The Candidate passed Xth class examination in first attempt will be treated as meritorious against those passed compartmentally.
- The candidate should have studied the local language at least up to 10th standard (as compulsory or elective subjects).
- The candidate must have a Basic Computer Training Course Certificate of at least 60 days duration from any Computer Training Institute run by Central Government/State Government /Universities / Boards / Private Institutions Organizations.
Age Limit
The minimum and maximum of age for the purpose of engagement to GDS posts shall be 18 and 40 years respectively as on 07.10.2020, the date of notification of the vacancies. There is also relaxation in age for candidates belonging to reserved categories.
Application Fee
Applicants of category OC/OBC/EWS Male / trans-man should pay a fee of Rs 100 for each set of five options. However, payment of fee is exempted for all Female / trans-woman candidates as well as PwD candidates.
Salary Scale
Branch Postmaster (BPM): Rs. 12,000 to Rs. 14,500 per month
Assistant Branch Postmaster (ABPM)/Dak Sevak Rs.10,000 to Rs.12,000 per month
