The Mumbai police today interrogated the head of Yash Raj Films Aditya Chopra in context with the death of Sushant Singh Rajput. According to reports, the Kedarnath actor was depressed after YRF decided to close his movie Paani to be directed by Shekhar Kapur. As is known, Sushant opted out of many big movies including 2 to 3 films offered by the leading Bollywood director Sanjay Leela Bhansali. The Devdas director has already recorded his statement with the Bandra police in which he cleared that since Sushant was busy with YRF’s movies he did not accept his offers.
Fans have been demanding CBI inquiry into the case of Sushant Singh Rajput’s suicide. The supporters of the actor on social media have been demanding inquiry of big names that have come up in the case including Karan Johar, Salman Khan, and Aditya Chopra. But until now, the police managed to dodge all these inquiries.

After debuting with Kai Po Che! Sushant signed a three-movie contract with YRF out of which the first two movies, Shuddh Desi Romance and Detective Byomkesh Bakshy! were released one after the other. While the first flick with Vaani Kapoor and Parineeti Chopra did well at the box-office, the next detective movie did not do well as expected. The third flick was Paani which was supposed to be a big-budget film and the famous Mr. India director was planning to return to mainstream Bollywood cinema with it.
There were rumors that Salman Khan forced YRF to shut Paani because of his differences with Sushant. Whatever the reason might be Aditya Chopra decided to close its production which disturbed Sushant a lot. The Dil Bechara actor was passionately preparing for his role in this movie and even left many big projects so that he could do justice to his character in Paani. That is why the statement of Aditya Chopra was being considered very important.
Many believe that with Pappu Yadav approaching Amit Shah for CBI inquiry and even BJP MP and senior leader Subramanian Swamy’s lawyer preparing justification for it Mumbai police were forced to take such a step and summon Aditya Chopra. Will Karan Johar and Salman Khan be the next in line for interrogation?
