Sanjay Dutt is suffering from third-stage lung cancer. The actor himself took to social media to announce that he will be taking a break from acting for health reasons. Later on, reports went adrift that the Sadak 2 star will be going to America for treating cancer. Since the actor is fighting such a serious disease no one knows how long will it take for him to report for shooting.

Incidentally, Sanjay Dutt plays the role of brutal antagonist Adheera in Yash's KGF Chapter 2. The shooting for the same came to a halt due to lockdown. However, the team now wants to resume the shooting from 15th August onwards.

Has Sanjay Dutt Completed His Shooting for KGF Chapter 2?

The creative executive producer of Homable Films, Karthik Gowda recently updated media about the film's upcoming schedule.  Gowda said, "There are 24 days of shooting left and we will resume it next week. We are looking to complete the film's shoot before October."

However, the schedule might get affected now that Sanjay Dutt is going to America for treatment. With Adheera, Sanjay will make his foray into the South Indian film industry. As a birthday gift to his fans, the makers of KGF Chapter 2 released the first look of Sanjay Dutt as Adheera on his birthday, July 29. Incidentally, earlier Sanjay Dutt was admitted to Lilavati following breathlessness. At that time, Gowda stated that the health report of the actor was blown out of proportion.

Nevertheless, after the confirmation of health issues from Dutt himself, it seems the makers might face some trouble. It is because although the actor has finished shooting most of his part for the sequel, some part is still remaining. While it is too early to say anything, makers are left with the option of either replacing Sanjay Dutt or rewriting the remaining scenes.

Apart from KGF Chapter 2, Dutt is also playing a major role in Shamshera starring Ranbir Kapoor and Vaani Kapoor. Eventually, the shooting of this movie may also get delayed as a result of Sanjay Dutt's health issues.
