Rowdy Actor Vijay Deverakonda’s Bollywood debut has been the talk of the Tinsel town for a while now. While he has already shot with Puri Jagannadh opposite Ananya Panday for 'Fighter'. now, as per reports, the South Superstar is going to be the lead for Abhishek Kapoor’s film based on the Balakot Air Strike in 2019.

Last year, Abhishek Kapoor joined hands with Sanjay Leela Bhansali for a film based on the Balakot Air Strike in 2019. They had been struggling to find their male lead and they finally zeroed in at the Arjun Reddy Star.

While his next film Fighter will be dubbed in Hindi and given a pan-India release, Abhishek's directorial will be his full-fledged Hindi feature. He will play the role of Wing Commander Abhinandan Varthaman who was kept captive in Pakistan for 60 hours during the India-Pakistan standoff following the Balakot airstrike. The film will showcase the Pulwama attack, the airstrike and Abhinandan's time in captivity and his return to India.

According To Reports, Vijay has liked the script and also given a verbal nod to it. But the official confirmation hasn't been made yet as the film will be taking some time to go on the floors.  Director Abhishek Kapoor will first finish his film with Ayushmann Khurrana and Vaani Kapoor which has been delayed due to Covid-19 and then proceed with this challenging project.
