“I Almost Became a Kapoor”

Recounting the moment with guests Alia Bhatt and Varun Dhawan, Twinkle said, “I almost became a Kapoor because of Alia’s father-in-law! On my birthday, he tweeted very generously, ‘When you were in your mother’s stomach, I serenaded her.’ Everyone thought I was his illegitimate daughter!” The lighthearted tweet quickly spiraled into wild social media speculation, prompting Kapoor to issue a clarification.

Kajol couldn’t resist teasing Alia during the segment, quipping, “I’m not your sister-in-law; it was a mistake!” as Varun Dhawan laughed, noting Alia’s adorable awkwardness.

The Tweet That Started It All

For the unversed, Rishi Kapoor had once wished Twinkle on her birthday with a nostalgic reference to his 1973 debut film Bobby, where he starred opposite Twinkle’s mother Dimple Kapadia.

“Happy Happy Birthday dear one! You were in your mum’s tummy when I was serenading her in Bobby in 1973 lol,” he wrote.

The quirky message confused many about timelines and led to playful gossip before Kapoor set the record straight.
