Amid Ind-Pak tensions, Twinkle Khanna 'suggests' to redub Pakistani singers' songs by Dhinchak Pooja
Indian and Pakistani artists are engaged in social media wars amid the escalated tensions between India and Pakistan following the response to the Pahalgam terror attack with Operation Sindoor. While several Pakistani artists condemned and criticised India's response to the terror attack, they got brutally trolled for their remarks. A few days later, Mowra Hocane and Mahira Khan were removed from the posters of Sanam Teri Kasam and Raees, respectively. Well, former actress and author Twinkle Khanna has reacted to the same.

Talking about the removal of Pakistani actors from the posters, Twinkle Khanna in her column for Times of India wrote, "After the recent re-release of ‘Sanam Teri Kasam’, I have been listening to the songs on repeat. While browsing Spotify, I realised actor Mawra Hocane had been edited out from the album cover. Further digging reveals that other Pakistani actors like Fawad Khan and Mahira Khan have been similarly erased from their online posters.”
Further, she shared, "Not wanting to be left behind in doing my duty as a good citizen, I propose that we get all of Abida Parveen and Farida Khanum’s songs redubbed by our very own Dhinchak Pooja. That will really teach the Pakistanis a lesson.”

Earlier this month, Harshvardhan Rane lashed out at his Sanam Teri Kasam co-star Mawra Hocane after she criticised India's Operation Sindoor and called it a 'cowardly' act. He also refused to be a part of Sanam Teri Kasam 2 if Mawra was a part of it. Later, the makers clarified that the Pakistani actress would not be a part of the sequel. Even she was removed from the posters. Meanwhile, Mahira Khan was also removed from Raees posters.
