King was officially announced on Shah Rukh Khan’s 60th birthday, with a title reveal teaser showing the actor in a striking new avatar featuring silver hair and ear accessories. SRK later described his character as “very dark, grey, and ruthless,” adding that it has been carefully written by Siddharth Anand and Sujoy Ghosh.

Produced by Red Chillies Entertainment and Marflix Pictures, King marks Shah Rukh Khan’s first on-screen collaboration with his daughter Suhana Khan, who plays his protégé.
