According to reports, sources confirm that King, also starring Suhana Khan, now boasts a massive budget of Rs 350 crores, excluding promotional and distribution costs - making it India’s costliest action film ever. 

From Modest Origins to Mega Vision

Initially conceived with Sujoy Ghosh as director and SRK in an extended cameo, King was planned as a Rs 150-crore project. But destiny had grander plans. When Siddharth Anand came aboard, the film’s scale exploded.

According to a report by Bollywood Hungama, a close insider revealed, “SRK is a producer who loves to spend and treat the audience with the richest visuals on spectacle. He gave Sid a free hand, and the director came back with a budget of Rs. 350 crores.”

That freedom allowed Siddharth to craft something truly unparalleled.

Six Dazzling Action Sequences- A Feast for the Eyes!

Further, the source revealed that every frame of King aims for global standards. “King is a global film made in India. What takes millions of dollars for the West to execute, Siddharth Anand is aiming to do the same at 1/5th the cost,” shared the source.

The film reportedly features six meticulously designed action sequences, each crafted for maximum cinematic impact.

“Three of them are shot at real locations, while the balance three will be canned on the sets,” the source added.

In his younger years, he’s said to lock horns with Raghav Juyal, while the older King faces a formidable adversary played by Abhishek Bachchan.
