Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah’s Old Anjali Bhabhi To Return? Sunayana Fozdar Breaks Silence

Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah is one of the longest-running television shows and the sitcom still continues to top the TRP charts. Over the course of a decade, the viewers saw a number of changes in the cast of the show. From Tapu to Anjali Bhabhi, many characters were replaced by other actors, some of which left the audience upset.

One of the latest characters to be replaced was the beloved Anjali Bhabhi. Sunayana Fozdar recently came on board to play Anjali Mehta, which was earlier played by Neha Mehta. For over a decade, Neha Mehta as Anjali had become the audience’s favorite. Ever since her exit from the show, there were speculations that she will eventually return to play Anjali again. Neha had also revealed in an interview that she is willing to come back to the sitcom.

Amidst all the buzz, the new Anjali aka Sunayana Fozdar broke her silence on the speculations going around about Neha’s return to Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah. She said, “ I have no clue. It has been almost eight months since I am playing Anjali. If Neha Mehta wants to come back to the show, then it is entirely producer Asit Modi’s call. I am no one to comment on it.”

Earlier in February, Neha had expressed her willingness to come back to the show and also cleared the air that she hasn’t been contacted by the makers to come back to the show. She said “I will only consider a comeback to Taarak Mehta… if the audiences, production house, and channel want me. And after quitting the show, I have never called the producer or expressed my wish to return. My first priority will always be the audience and viewers who have given me love and respect all these years. I don’t know how these talks have surfaced.”
