Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah's Producer Still Waiting For Disha Vakani As Dayaben To Return

In the last few weeks, Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah has been beating the top shows to grab the first position in the TRP charts. The audience is currently enjoying new plots and even the track of Popatlal’s marriage. However, one of the major reasons that resulted in the rise of TRP can be due to the current buzz that suggests that the show’s star attraction Dayaben is finally set to return.

Disha Vakani left the show in 2017 and since then there have been many hullabaloos about Dayaben’s return to the show. Due to the character’s immense popularity, the makers tried to bring back Disha Vakani but things didn’t work out as per plans.

Recently, while talking to a leading news portal, producer Asit Modi said that he feels he should become Dayaben now. He said that the question of Dayaben’s return has been going on for many years now and fans are still waiting for her to come back. He said that if Vakhani is not able to join the show because of her family issues then he respects the decision. Then confirming Dayaben’s return, he said it is fine if Disha wants to come or they will find someone else to play the character but Dayaben will return to the show.

Meanwhile, the director feels that at present Dayaben’s return or the much-awaited Popatlal’s wedding track is not important and that there are more serious issues around them.

Earlier this month, another beloved character who was missing from Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah for quite some time now was Natu Kaka aka Ghanashyam Nayak. He also shared the news of his return to the sets recently as he recovered from his illness and will be seen on the screens soon.
