Shraddha Kapoor has signed a 3-movie deal with the team of director Vishal Furia and producer Nikhil Dwivedi. The movie produced under the banner of Saffron Broadcast & Media Ltd. will showcase the Ek Villain actress as a shapeshifting serpent. The concept of Icchadhari Nagin is deep-rooted in Indian mythology and films made on these topics have always got a good response.

Movies like Nagina and Nigahen in which Sridevi played the role of a shapeshifting serpent gave a major boost to her career. Earlier even Reena Roy and Vyjantimala played similar roles and received huge appreciation. The success of Ekta Kapoor's Naagin series indicates that the concept continues to be popular even today.

That is why Shraddha who earlier has impressed the audience through her roles in Stree, Chhichhore, Baaghi 3, and more can really expect a big boost to her career with this trilogy.

Shraddha Kapoor Is Excited To Play The Iconic Character of Nagin

Shraddha is very happy that she is going to portray the iconic character of Nagin. On her Instagram account, the actress penned, "It's an absolute delight for me to play a Nagin on screen. I have grown up watching, admiring, and idolizing Sridevi ma'am's Nagina and Nigahen and always wanted to play a similar role rooted in Indian traditional folklore. It's like playing an iconic character, which has always been so fascinating for the audience."

The movie essentially is going to be a love story with some exciting VFX inputs. Apart from Shraddha, her fans are also equally excited to see her as Nagin on the big screen. Many believe that it is high time that she gets recognized for her hard work.

Cinema Therapy said, "Shraddha's insta story. After 10 years in the industry, she is finally getting the roles she deserves and the fruits of her hard work. Way to go girl."

Reports indicate that Shraddha Kapoor will play a new-age Nagin and fans believe that she will be the cutest Nagin to grace the silver screen.

The producers are yet to come up with a title for this movie. The first movie of the trilogy will go on the floors next year.
