Bhubaneswar/Hyderabad: Samantha Akkineni’s starling performance in ‘Rangasthalam’ made her fans to stop asking for more. Back to back, this summer, she gave three hit movies- ‘Mahanati’ ‘Irumbu Thirai’ and of course, ‘Rangasthalam’.

However, recent media reports claiming that she is mulling quitting films after a year have hurt her fans and they are eagerly want a confirmation from the actress herself.

While the Samantha or her rep is yet to comment on the issue, the reason behind the news of her quitting films started because of her one interview where she had said that she would quit the silver screen after becoming mother.

In an earlier interview, as per one report of India Today, Samantha had said:

"When I have a child, that child is going to be my universe. I had the greatest respect for working mothers. My childhood was not very rosy. For all adults, who haven't had a very rosy childhood, the first thing they will tell you is that they want to give their child everything that they did not have. That's something that has stuck with me. So I think the first few years after I have a child, I would not be anywhere. That child will be everything for me."

So, fans shouldn’t get disheartened as it seems she has also hinted of getting back, in case if she takes a break, at the right time.

In different news, Samantha recently posted a special message on her Instagram about working in “Mahanati’.

She wrote: Samantha wasn't competing with Keerthy...she was fighting for screentime with the legend of Savitri garu...and she pulled it off like No Other actress of our time could. Period. She was the first one to come onboard, just out of pure love for cinema and Savitri garu...this is on the first day of shoot, on the bus, where she had to do a fullpage monologue with a stutter..Mahanati is what it is because of Madhuravani..She helped make a biopic and epic...Thank you for the privilege Vani garu.. #mahanati50days #mahanatiforever
