Prabhas to turn Baahubali for PM Modi’s BJP in 2019 elections?

Bhubaneswar/Prabhas: Baahubali, the magnum opus by ace Telugu director SS Rajamouli changed the face of Indian film industry by making waves at the box office and shattering all records. The movie has set the standard high for the movies to come. But the point here is the way the movie made its lead actors a household name.

Prabhas became the heartthrob of million with his starling performance in ‘Baahubali: The Beginning’ and ‘Baahubali: The Conclusion’. He is also the most eligible, sought for bachelor of India. His fans following skyrocketed after the two movies.

Meanwhile, rumours are making the rounds that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is trying to convince Prabhas to campaign for the party in 2019 elections. It can’t be denied that if Prabhas campaigns, the saffron party will get immensely benefited.

However, sources close to the actor rebuffed the rumours of the ‘Young Rebel Star’ campaigning for the BJP or any other political outfit in the upcoming elections.

It was found out that as Prabhas’ uncle and actor Krishnam Raju is a former BJP’s MP and is likely to contest from Kakinada Lok Sabha constituency in Andhra Pradesh, such rumours erupted.

Rumour mills also have it that the BJP is exerting pressure on Raju to convince Prabhas to campaign for the party, especially in the south Indian state.

Moreover, Prabhas is currently loaded with several projects and is much more focused in his career. Managing time has become a big issue for him even though he is very careful and selective in choosing scripts after the success of Baahubali, said sources, adding that in such circumstances such rumours of him campaigning for any political party is laughable.

Meanwhile, Gulte.com reported that Prabhas has said that he cannot do the campaign for the BJP as he is not interested in politics and keep himself away from the 2019 polls.

Currently, Prabhas has reportedly begun the third-phase shooting of the high-octane action movie ‘Saaho’.
