Salman Khan is one of the biggest superstars of the Indian film industry. The megastar has seen lots of ups and downs in his life. He got a big launch through “Maine Pyar Kiya” and rose to fame. Salman faced legal issues, went to jail and also was involved in controversies related to his affairs with leading Bollywood co-stars. So it has been quite a roller-coaster life for Salman Khan. But the last decade saw the superstar turning into a philanthropist and launching his “Being Human” foundation which helps the needy and destitute.

Salman Khan Is Against Donating To Government Charities?

The actor is known for helping poor and needy people. He has supported many newcomers in the industry and even launched a few new faces. But when it comes to donating to government charities, Salman Khan prefers handing it down to the people who need it directly instead of donating it to an organization. In one of his interviews, the megastar said that you do not know whether the money reaches the right people through administration.

He believes that the help should be directly given to those who need it. That is why when big stars like Akshay Kumar, Hrithik Roshan, and Kangana Ranaut donated big amounts to the PMO charity for coronavirus victims, Salman instead took the responsibility of wages of 25,000 workers who are associated with the Indian film industry. It was a big gesture on the part of the superstar as currently these people are workless and in the absence of jobs, they do not have any resources to fulfill their needs.

Similarly, he also shared a video with Nirvana, the son of his brother Sohail Khan in which Salman is advising people to stay home. The superstar is seen repeating the famous line of the film Sholay said by Gabbar Singh “Jo Darr Gaya Woh Mar Gaya” albeit with a major change.
