Salman Khan and Aamir Khan battled to pay fees! Tere Naam star was thrown out of school

Salman Khan and Aamir Khan are counted among the most successful actors in Hindi cinema today. Born into influential film families- with Salman's father Salim Khan being a celebrated screenwriter and Aamir's father Tahir Hussain a renowned filmmaker- both stars had the film world in their blood. Yet, few know that behind the glitz of their surnames lay stories of unpaid school fees during their early years.

An Untold Chapter From Their School Days

The revelation came when the duo, who once created magic with their cult comedy Andaz Apna Apna, appeared on the show Two Much alongside Kajol and Twinkle Khanna. There, both Salman and Aamir revisited an untold part of their childhood, confessing that they had studied in the same school, though at the time, they weren’t even aware of each other’s presence.

Salman’s Short-lived School Journey

Recalling his early days, Salman Khan shared, “Apparently we were in the same school together. But we don’t remember that because I was there till fourth grade, then I was thrown out of the school.” The actor explained that his exit wasn’t entirely due to bad behavior. “I was running with a friend when he tripped over my leg and chipped his teeth. They thought I had done it deliberately,” Salman revealed.

But disciplinary issues weren’t the only reason. The superstar recalled another incident tied to unpaid school fees. “I was punished outside, and my father (Salim Khan) asked, ‘What has he done now?’ My teacher told him, ‘No Mr Khan, it is not his fault, it’s your fault. The fees were not paid on time, so we kept him outside.’ My father said, ‘Then you should be making me stand there,’” he said.

Although Salim Khan later cleared the dues, Salman was pulled out of the school a few weeks later.

Aamir Too Faced the Same Situation

Echoing Salman’s experience, Aamir Khan admitted that his family also went through fee-payment struggles. “Yes, I do remember my parents couldn’t pay fees either, and then they would announce our names in the assembly,” Aamir recalled.
