2021 will mark the return of two of the biggest stars of the current generation on the big screen – Ranveer Singh and Ranbir Kapoor. Interesting the return will also mark a mega clash between the two as Ranbir’s Shamshera and Ranveer’s 83 are reportedly going to hit the theatres at the same time.

Ranbir Kapoor has been away from the big screen for quite some time now and Shamshera will mark his return from the small hiatus in B-town. Yesterday, YRF unveiled the yearly calendar with releasing dates of all their upcoming films including RK’s Shamshera. The film is scheduled to hit the theatres on 25th June 2021. The period action drama film is set in the 1800s and also co-stars Sanjay Dutt and Vaani Kapoor in pivotal roles. The film revolves around a dacoit tribe who took charge in the fight for their rights and independence against the British.

Whereas, Ranveer Singh’s ’83 based on the Indian Cricket team’s 1983 world cup victory, is one of the highest anticipated movies of the year. As per the reports, the makers of the film were also reportedly going to release on 25th June, as it is the same date on which the world cup victory in 1983.

Now with a big-budget film like Shamshera also going to release on 25th June, the makers might reconsider the date because it can affect their box office performance. But if they decide to go ahead with the same date then it will be one of the biggest clashes Bollywood box office will witness after a long time.
