An earlier interview and a recent statement only reinforce how firmly Ranbir stands in Ranveer’s corner.

Ranveer Singh’s Khilji Left a Lasting Impact

In a candid conversation from the past, Ranbir reflected on an interesting cinematic truth: while heroes are celebrated, it is often the villains who become immortal.

Beneath his composed romantic-hero image lies a cinephile fascinated by layered antagonists. Among contemporary performances, one portrayal deeply impressed him - Ranveer Singh as Alauddin Khilji in Padmaavat.

“In Padmaavat, Ranveer Singh made Alauddin Khilji so terrifying, that even after the film ends, the character stays with you," said Ranbir during the interview.

His words highlighted how modern antagonists are crafted with psychological nuance, ensuring they linger in the audience’s memory long after the screen fades to black.

“Absolutely Loved Dhurandhar”

More recently, Ranbir went live on Instagram through his fashion label ARKS’ official account.

When asked about his current favourite film, his response was candid and wholehearted: "The last...Current favourite movie I guess was Dhurandhar. Absolutely loved that film. I think, the entire cast and crew smashed it and really good times at the movies."

Ranveer Singh’s Dhurandhar has since rewritten box-office history, crossing ₹1,000 crore globally and emerging as one of the highest-grossing Hindi films ever. Its record-breaking weekly collections and sustained earnings underline its monumental success.
