The anticipation around Namit Malhotra and Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana continues to build. With a power-packed cast featuring Ranbir Kapoor, Yash, Sunny Deol, and Sai Pallavi, the film has already set the bar high. Adding to the excitement, music legend AR Rahman has teamed up with Hollywood’s celebrated composer Hans Zimmer for the first time. Recently, Rahman shared his thoughts on this grand collaboration, saying, “Proud of how it’s shaping to be.”

AR Rahman Opens Up About Ramayana
In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter India, Rahman reflected on the scale and significance of the project. While remaining cautious not to give away too many details, he revealed that fans had already received “a taste” of his and Zimmer’s joint efforts in the teaser.
Calling it one of the most thrilling projects he has undertaken, Rahman said, “We are very proud of how it’s shaping out to be, both musically and culturally.”
The Challenge of Scheduling Hans Zimmer
Working with a global maestro like Hans Zimmer has come with its own challenges. Rahman acknowledged how complex it has been to bring everyone together, pointing out that Zimmer’s packed schedule adds to the difficulty.
“Hans is a very busy man,” Rahman noted, appreciating the producer’s relentless efforts to coordinate and make the collaboration possible.
With a touch of humour, Rahman added, “Getting us all together at the same time, much less the same place, is no mean feat.”
A Beautiful Beginning for the Magnum Opus
Despite the logistical hurdles, Rahman described the early journey of Ramayana as deeply fulfilling. He shared that the “beginnings” of the project have been “very beautiful and memorable so far.”
