While his screen time in the opening chapter is said to be brief- about 15 minutes- his role will expand significantly in Part Two, where Hanuman becomes central to the battle against Ravana. With his unmatched intensity, Deol is expected to bring gravitas to the role, embodying the devotion and power that define Hanuman.

A Stellar Ensemble & Epic Scope

Ramayana brings together a spectacular ensemble cast. The cast includes Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Rama, Sai Pallavi as Sita, and Yash as the Demon King Ravana. Ravi Dubey, Lara Dutta, Arun Govil and Rakul Preet Singh will be seen in pivotal roles. Meanwhile, reports suggest Amitabh Bachchan will lend his voice for Jatayu.

Featuring a powerhouse cast with music by AR Rahman and Hans Zimmer, Ramayana is designed as a global cultural event, with Part One scheduled for Diwali 2026 and Part Two for Diwali 2027.

Hype, Budget & Boundless Ambition

Producer Namit Malhotra recently revealed that the combined cost of the two-part epic will surpass Rs 4,000 crore (around USD 500 million), making it the most expensive Indian film ever made. He emphasized that the film is entirely self-funded, with the vision to match the scale of global Hollywood epics while still being cost-efficient by international standards.
