On Wednesday morning, the global star took to Instagram Stories to share a serene video of the “streets of Hyderabad” at 4 AM.

Tagging Mahesh Babu with a laughing emoji, Priyanka left fans guessing if filming for SSMB29 had quietly kicked off. 

A day earlier, Priyanka had shared a selfie captioned, “And we’re off again… destination exciting,” suggesting her return to India for the project. She followed it with a short clip from the airport as her flight lands- adding to the speculation.

Just days before her post, the internet went into a frenzy over a fun online banter between the SSMB29 team.

On November 1, Mahesh Babu playfully tweeted to Rajamouli, “How slow sir? Shall we start in 2030? FYI, our Desi girl has been posting every street of Hyderabad on her Insta stories since January.”

Priyanka Chopra quickly fired back, “Helloooo!! hero!!! You want me to leak all the stories you share with me on set?”
