Pathaan 2: Jr NTR set to re-enter YRF Spy Universe as Agent Vikram, all set to clash with Shah Rukh Khan?

Tollywood superstar Jr NTR stepped into Bollywood with YRF’s ambitious War 2, joining forces with Hrithik Roshan and Kiara Advani. The crossover of two massive fan bases created enormous buzz, but the film ultimately failed to strike a chord with audiences.

In the aftermath, reports suggested that Yash Raj Films had put the brakes on a standalone project centred on Jr NTR’s character, Agent Vikram. Now, a fresh wave of speculation hints that the story is far from over for Tarak in the Spy Universe.

Pathaan 2 Brings a Surprise Twist!

According to the latest industry chatter, Jr NTR may soon lock horns with Shah Rukh Khan in Pathaan 2. A report by sacnilk claims that Aditya Chopra has approached the actor for a crucial role in the sequel, signalling a major expansion of Agent Vikram’s arc within the franchise. If this materialises, it would mark Jr NTR’s direct entry into the core narrative of the Spy Universe, placing him opposite SRK.

Expanding the Spy Universe Web

So far, the universe has largely revolved around Salman Khan’s Tiger, Hrithik Roshan’s Kabir and Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathaan. Jr NTR’s possible return hints at a broader, more interconnected storyline. This development also aligns with rumours of Hrithik Roshan reprising Kabir in a cameo for Alpha, starring Alia Bhatt, Sharvari and Bobby Deol.

Sources close to the project reveal that talks between Jr NTR and YRF are currently at an advanced stage.

Agent Vikram: A Character with Untapped Potential

Earlier reports had claimed that Jr NTR’s character would headline a standalone spin-off tentatively titled ‘Agent Vikram’. However, after War 2 underperformed, the project was reportedly shelved.

Even then, insiders suggested that YRF had envisioned Agent Vikram as a key pillar of the Spy Universe, with narrative weight comparable to Tiger, Kabir, Pathaan, Zoya and Rubaii.

Now, instead of a solo outing, the studio appears keen on weaving the character directly into the main franchise. With Pathaan 2, Agent Vikram could emerge as a parallel lead or even a formidable antagonist, setting up a high-stakes face-off that leverages Jr NTR’s massive pan-India appeal.
