Kangana dedicates a self-composed poem to her mother

Actress Kangana Ranaut has composed an emotional poem dedicated to her mother.

The poem reads out as a tribute from a child to its mother, and is a homage to motherhood on the occasion of Mother's Day, which falls on May 10.

In the poem, Kangana talks of a child's journey from the womb to the outside world. She goes on to tell her mother that "nowhere I found the love and warmth of your womb".

Kangana has recited the poem beautifully, recording it in the form of a video.

Sara thanks her 'maa ki maa' for creating her 'mommy'

Bollywood actress Sara Ali Khan shared an adorable throwback photograph and thanked her grandmother for creating her mother Amrita Singh.

Sara took to Instagram, where she shared a photograph of Amrita and her mother holding newborn Sara.

"Meri Maa ki Maa (my mother's mother) Thank you for creating Mommy #HappyMothersDay," she wrote alongside the image, which currently has over 1 million likes on the photo-sharing website.

Shilpa Shetty: Mom is an 'incredible example of strength, dignity, ethics and love'

On Mother's Day, Shilpa Shetty took out time to talk about what an "incredible example of strength, dignity, ethics and love" her mother has been for her as well as her sister Shamita.

"I am so grateful to God for blessing me with 'this' mother in this life, who has loved and supported me unconditionally and selflessly. She has been an incredible example of strength, dignity, ethics and love to both Shamita and me and moulded us into the individuals we are today. The moral and spiritual values that she gave us throughout our formative years make for such a beautiful gift - one that can never be repaid," said Shilpa.

Shilpa used TikTok's in-app campaign #ThanksMaa to thank her mother. She created a video using TikTok's photo template to express love for her mom on this special occasion. It features beautiful photographs of the actress along with her mother.

She also thanked her mother in-law, "who encourages me with pride in all my endeavours", adding: "None of this would have ever been possible without your love and blessings".

Amitabh Bachchan paid a tribute to all mother

Megastar Amitabh Bachchan paid a tribute to all mothers in a clip and wrote: "Every day is Mother's Day..to the most beautiful Mother in the World .. my Amma ji."

Ayushmann ready with song tribute for all moms on Mother's Day

As a tribute to all moms, actor-singer Ayushmann Khurrana is set to come up with a song, titled "Ma".

"Though every single day should be called Mother's Day, given the sacrifices she makes and the unconditional love that she showers on her child, it is quite sweet that we can all celebrate our mothers on a special day especially dedicated to them. On this Mother's Day, I will be posting a really special song, titled 'Ma', which we are dedicating to all the mothers out there. The spirit of motherhood has always amazed me and I will be humbly singing in praise of this ever-caring, ever-nurturing force," Ayushmann said.

Rochak Kohli has composed the song on lyrics by Gurpeet Saini.

"I'm collaborating with my dear friend Rochak, who had composed this beautiful track that celebrates mothers. Rochak and I will be singing this track together. It is an absolute honour for me to sing this song for all the mothers who constantly and selflessly shape our lives and our world," Ayushmann added.

Sachin Tendulkar and Virat Kohli also took to social media to celebrate Mother's Day.

"You are AAI to me because, besides everything else you are Always Amazing & Irreplaceable. Thank you for everything you have done for me," Tendulkar wrote on his Twitter handle and also shared a picture of himself as a baby, held by his mother.

Kohli also posted images of himself and his mother and wrote: "Happy mother's day."

Sonu Nigam's special musical tribute to motherhood

Singer Sonu Nigam has paid a special tribute to motherhood through his song "Maa."

For the song, he united with lyricist Sameer Anjaan and composer Raju Singh.

"It has been rightly said, God cannot be everywhere, so he created mothers and this song resonates the same essence," Sonu said.

"When I first heard the lyrics of the song, it gave me goosebumps and reminded me of the profound times spent with my mother. Beautifully written by Sameer ji and composed by my best friend Raju Singh, the song has some very emotional lines and had an instant connect with the essence of motherhood," he added.

The song celebrates the essence of motherhood, and is a heartwarming ode to mothers everywhere. The song has been released by Indian Performing Right Society Ltd. (IPRS) on occasion of Mother's Day.
