Lakshya to lock horns with Tiger Shroff in Karan Johar’s next big action film: Report

After Kill and The Ba***ds of Bollywood, actor Lakshya seems unstoppable. While fans are awaiting an update on Dostana 2- where he stars alongside Vikrant Massey and, reportedly, Pratibha Ranta- industry chatter hints that the rising star has already secured another major project under Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions banner.

The Ultimate Showdown: Lakshya vs Tiger Shroff

According to reports, Lakshya’s next outing will pit him directly against Tiger Shroff in what promises to be a high-octane action entertainer. Initially, Karan Johar was expected to direct this project, but sources claim he has handed the reins to Raj Mehta, known for his knack for balancing emotion with commercial flair.

According to a Mid-Day report, Lakshya’s new Dharma film is in its final pre-production phase.

"But this time, a revenge story is at the centre of this action offering. The film is in its final stage of prep and Raj plans to take it on floors by November," the report quoted a close source to the development as saying.

Clash of the Action Titans

Another insider revealed to the portal, "It will be Tiger versus Lakshya. Both actors have shown their prowess in the action genre, and the film will benefit with them sharing screen space." 

The film also reportedly stars Janhvi Kapoor, making it a powerhouse ensemble that blends youthful energy with star appeal.

Karan Johar’s 50th Birthday Project Comes Full Circle

As per the report, this is the same film that Karan Johar announced on his 50th birthday in 2022. However, instead of directing it, he has chosen to remain on board as the producer.

"Karan has set his eyes on another story now, something that is more in his zone of drama and emotions. He is confident that Raj will blend masala with big-screen action well," the source added.
