Long before she became a household name, Keerthy had already found the man who would stand by her through every phase of life - Antony Thattil, a businessman she met in 2010.

In a candid chat with actor Jagapathi Babu on Zee5’s Jayammu Nischayammu Raa, Keerthy opened up about their decade-long romance.

“At that time, I was focused on my studies while Antony was working overseas. We wanted to be sure of what we wanted before telling our families. Only after we felt ready did we inform them,” she shared.

Love Without Borders

Distance often tests love. But, for Keerthy and Antony, it only made their bond stronger. For almost five to six years, Antony worked in Qatar while Keerthy pursued her acting dreams in Chennai.

“We were both trying to establish ourselves in our respective fields. Marriage wasn’t on our minds then; we wanted to be emotionally and financially ready first,” she said.

Their long-distance relationship, built on trust and mutual growth, endured over a decade and blossomed into something unbreakable.

Faith and Family: The True Test

Keerthy revealed that one of her biggest fears was how her parents, especially her father - veteran producer Suresh Kumar - would react to her relationship with Antony, given their different religious backgrounds.

“I was scared that my father might not approve,” she confessed. “It took me almost four years to tell him about Antony.”

But when she finally did, her father’s response was nothing short of heartwarming.

“He welcomed Antony with open arms and even had a celebratory drink with him,” Keerthy recalled with a smile, cherishing the moment that bridged two families and faiths.
