Announcing the awards at a press conference here today, University`s Vice Chancellor T N Sureshan said the fellowship consisted of Rs 20,000, ponnadai, plaque and testamonial which would be presented November 8.
Other eminent personalities selected for the awards are: Kalanilayam Raghavan (Kathakali Vesham),Kalamandalam Sukumaran (Kathakali Sangeetham), Kalamandalam Raman Namboodiri (Kathakali Chenda), Kalamandalam Sankara Warriar (Kathakali Maddalam), Kalamandalam Ram Mohanan (Kathakali Chutty), Kalamandalam P S Lathika,(Dance), Kalamandalam Parameswaran (Thullal ), Kalamandalam Eswaranunny (Mizhav) Kalamandalam Shivadas (Mridangam), K P Babudas (Kalagrandham - book on art), Kalamandalam K P Chandrika (Kalaratnam award for Dance), he added.
Sureshan said that the awards consisted of Rs 10,000, ponada, testamonial and plaque each would also be presented on November 8.
Panayur Sankarankutty, Kalamandlam Ravikumar and Kalamandalam Vinod have also been seleted for Mukundaraja Smruthi Upaharam, Bhagavathar Kunjunny Thamburan Endownment and V S Sarma Endownment respectively, he added.
