Kangana Ranaut has resumed shooting for her upcoming film Thalaivi after a break of over six months and shared some behind-the-scenes pictures from the set. In the pictures, the Manikarnika actress is seen discussing her morning scenes with director AL Vijay.
Thalaivi is a biopic on J Jayalalithaa where Kangana will be seen playing the late legendary actress-turned- politician.
On being back on the sets, the actor is ecstatic and wrote, "Good morning friends, these are some stills from yesterday’s early morning scene discussion with my absolutely talented and most affectionate director A.L Vijay Ji, there are many amazing places in this world but the most soothing and comforting to me is a film set #Thalaivi." Dressed in a simple saree, Kangana looks radiant in her character.

The first look of the actress received mixed response.
But the younger look where she seen sporting a white saree with simple black and red stripes, Kangana' looks the spitting image of the Jayalalithaa.
Earlier she also shared the process of turning into the late politician when she flew to Los Angeles for the prosthetics. The makers have roped in renowned Hollywood artist, Jason Collins, who has worked on films like Blade Runner and Captain Marvel, for creating Kangana’s look in the biopic.
Kangana can be seen bathed in a green paste and then with a purple paste required to create the desired prosthetic face. The preps for the film has left her fans and social media users surprised.
While interacting with the media the Queen actor had said, “I was working on my own biopic, but her (Jayalalithaa) story is very similar to my story. In fact, it is a bigger success story than mine. When I heard the narration of this film, I found many similarities between both the stories. So when I had the option to do a film based on her story or my story, I decided on the former.”
Meanwhile, on the work front, Kangana has some interesting upcoming projects like ‘Dhaakad’ and ‘Tejas' which will roll out on floors soon.
