The movie will release on Eid next year -12 May 2021.

John Abraham's Sequel Is All About Action, Heroism, and Patriotism

While revealing details about the sequel, director Milap Zaveri said that the movie celebrates music, action, patriotism, dialoguebaazi, and heroism. That is why they thought of releasing it on Eid next year. In his statement, Milap said, "With Bhushan sir, Monisha Advani, Madhu Bhojwani and Nikkhil Advani backing me once again, I can promise next year on May 12 we will do our best to deliver a festive bonanza for all audiences."

The first movie was entirely shot with Mumbai as the backdrop. However, for the sequel, John Abraham will take up the fight against corruption in Lucknow. According to Taran Adarsh, a trade analyst, John Abraham and the team will start shooting for Satyameva Jayate 2 from next month onwards. The character of John will squash all the corruption and corrupt people from politics and the corporate world.

Zaveri changed the shooting location from Mumbai to Lucknow to give a massy appeal to the movie. He believes that this change in the setting will give the movie a larger canvas. Milap added, "Visually also Lucknow adds to the scale and grandeur. The action of this film is gonna be ten times more dynamic, heroic, and powerful."

Apart from Satyameva Jayate 2, John Abraham will most probably star as an antagonist in YRF's Pathan starring Shah Rukh Khan.
