Mumbai: Bollywood’s hunk John Abraham, who is currently busy shooting for his next project, ‘Batla House’, once asked if he had ever faced any near-to-death incident while shooting for an action sequence or else and much to the surprise of fans, the actor didn’t say NO.

In an interview with Pinkvilla, responding to the question, he said he faced one such situation while shooting for his second movie ‘Saaya’, directed by Anurag Basu.

He said: “In the climax of the film, I had to jump into the water and I had to pretend to float because as per the script, I have fainted in the water. My co-star Mr. Raj Zutshi was supposed to pull me along. I was about 10 feet away from the waterfall which had a 100 feet drop. Little did I know, the stuntmen around me have tied our legs with wires and all, but none of the stuntmen knew how to swim!"

"When I was floating on the back, I suddenly heard Raj scream that 'I can't swim!' Next, I remember was, he pushed me! When I came back above, I couldn't move because I was pulled from all ends by the wires. It was when I came on the shore; I realized I got a second life,” he added to Pinkvilla.

John’s next is based on the controversial Batla House encounter. The movie is being directed by Nikkhil Advani.

‘Batla House’ is slated to hit the theaters on August 15, 2019.
