Amitabh Bachchan’s grandson, Agastya Nanda, is all set for his big screen debut with Ikkis, Sriram Raghavan’s biographical war drama. Headlining the film, the young actor shares screen space with stalwarts, including Dharmendra, whose presence lends the project an enduring gravitas. Dharmendra Spoke Like a Friend!

Opening up to India Today, Agastya revisited his time on set with Dharmendra, describing an experience that was both humbling and heart-warming. Despite limited scenes together, every interaction left a lasting impression. Initially anxious about working alongside such a senior figure, Nanda soon found his nerves easing.

“He never made you feel like he was a senior. He spoke to you like a friend,” he shared, recalling the veteran’s warmth, ease and infectious energy during the shoot.

Passion That Transcends Age

At 89, Dharmendra’s commitment remained unwavering. Constantly present and deeply engaged, he brought an old-school dedication that deeply impressed his young co-star.

“That kind of love for the craft stays with you,” Agastya reflected, adding that Dharmendra’s performance in Ikkis remains his most cherished element of the film.

Awake Till 4 AM, Spirits Unfaded

The legend’s zeal extended beyond scenes. In a separate interaction with Mid-Day, choreographer Vijay Ganguly shed light on Dharmendra’s tireless enthusiasm during a song shoot.

“Shooting with Dharmendra was amazing as he was vibrant and full of life. He was awake till we completed the song at 4 am,” said Ganguly.
