Filmmaker Rohit Shetty is officially revving up the engine for the fifth instalment of his blockbuster comedy franchise Golmaal, which first stormed theatres with ‘Golmaal: Fun Unlimited’ in 2006. Over the years, the series has become synonymous with slapstick humour, outrageous situations, and unforgettable one-liners.
While Shetty cheekily teased Golmaal 5 during the end credits of Son of Sardaar 2, fans have been eagerly waiting for concrete updates. Now, fresh reports finally offer clarity and excitement.

The Original Trouble-Makers Are Back!
According to PTI, Golmaal 5 will see the return of the beloved ensemble cast that defined the franchise. Ajay Devgn once again leads the chaos, joined by Arshad Warsi, Tusshar Kapoor, Shreyas Talpade, and Kunal Khemu. Adding to the nostalgia, Sharman Joshi is set to rejoin the gang, reconnecting the film directly to its roots in the original outing.
Interestingly, the fifth chapter is being described as a fantasy comedy. This signals a creative leap from the franchise’s traditional prank-driven narrative into a more surreal, imaginative space, while still retaining its trademark madness.
A Female Villain Takes Centre Stage
In a first for the Golmaal universe, the makers are planning to introduce a female antagonist. Reports suggest that the script has been specifically designed around a woman as the primary villain, marking a bold and refreshing shift for the series.
Casting discussions are currently underway, and this unexpected twist could add a new dynamic to the familiar chaos.

Familiar Faces in Supporting Roles
Adding further comfort for longtime fans, popular supporting actors such as Johnny Lever, Ashwini Kaleshkar, Mukesh Tiwari, and Sanjay Mishra are likely to reprise their roles. Their return promises the same comic texture that has enriched previous films.
For now, fans can only wait with fingers firmly crossed for official announcements on Rohit Shetty’s Golmaal 5.
