Mission Chulbul Singham! Rohit Shetty 'drops hint' on standalone film with Salman Khan and Ajay Devgn
Ajay Devgn's latest release Singham Again has emerged as a blockbuster and continues to dominate the box office on its ninth day. Despite the box office clash with Kartik Aryan, Vidya Balan, Madhuri Dixit and Triptii Dimri's Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, the roar of Singham continues and is on its course to hit the Rs 200 mark this weekend. However, the blockbuster cameo of Salman Khan has become the talk of the town. Since its release, the buzz around 'Mission Chulbul Singham' gained momentum. However, media reports claimed that filmmaker Rohit Shetty will focus on Deepika Padukone and Tiger Shroff's character and not Salman's Chulbul Pandey. Meanwhile, a latest report suggests that the idea of bringing Salman and Ajay together is 'completely on.'
During an interview with Pinkvilla, Shetty 'dropped a hint' on the possibility of a Singham-Pandey face-off. When the audience was asked whether they would like to see Bajirao Singham and Chulbul Pandey in one film, the response of the crowd was overwhelmingly positive. However, instead of seeing Singham and Pandey on one side, the crowd voted for 'verses'. To this Ajay Devgn smiled in agreement and said, "I knew it."
When Shetty was asked about the future of such a film, the filmmaker said that it was 'too early' to discuss it following Singham Again's release.
Further, he added that the idea was exciting but it would take time to materialise. However, he confirmed that if the movie happens, it would be a standalone movie and won't be a part of the Cop Universe.
Shetty said, "It’s just been a week since the film (Singham Again) has been released. Give me some time."
Talking about 'Mission Chulbul Singham', he said, “It will take time. That has to be standalone."
Notably, Salman's cameo in the post-credit sequence of Singham Again as Chulbul Pandey has built anticipation among fans for a possible crossover. Well, fans need to wait for Rohit Shetty to make the announcement of Mission Chulbul Singham.
