Bollywood’s beloved ‘serial kisser’ Emraan Hashmi has long been adored for his charm and unconventional screen persona. But his latest cameo in Aryan Khan’s directorial debut series The Ba***ds of Bollywood took fans by surprise and laughter. Playing an “intimacy coach” in a viral episode featuring Raghav Juyal, Lakshya, and Sahher Bambba, Emraan showcased his trademark wit and confidence in a completely new light.

Emraan Hashmi's Cameo in The Ba***ds Of Bollywood Was Unplanned!
Interestingly, the cameo wasn’t part of the original script. During a chat at HT City’s Stars In The City event on October 30, Emraan revealed that the initial idea was for him to appear at a film premiere scene with Raghav Juyal as a fan serenading him.
“A month before the shoot, Aryan and Bilal called and said, ‘Are you okay playing an intimacy coach?’ I said, ‘If I can’t do it, no one else can!’” laughed Emraan.
The change, later approved by Shah Rukh Khan himself, proved to be a masterstroke.
Going Viral for All the Right Reasons
Emraan recalled the madness that followed once the episode aired.
“I got a call from Netflix the next morning saying, ‘Do you know how viral this has gone? People are skipping to the third episode just for you!’” he shared.
The actor credited Aryan and his team, adding, “You never know what connects with audiences. The way Lakshya, Raghav, and the whole cast performed was fantastic.”
Raghav’s emotional breakdown during the scene, Emraan revealed, was entirely improvised, leaving the team in splits.
“We didn’t expect him to go that over the top. He was mind-blowing,” he said, laughing.
‘I Charge for That!’
When asked if he could share any “intimacy tips,” Emraan quipped, “I charge for that. I’m very expensive.”
His signature humour had the audience roaring. Reflecting on Aryan’s work as a director, he added, “Aryan loves retakes. He’s deeply involved and even acts out scenes for clarity. I asked him, ‘Why are you a director? You should become an actor!’ He’s a good actor and gives his performers freedom to explore.”
