In a gesture that reflects his hands-on approach, Aamir Khan visited Arijit Singh’s hometown, Murshidabad for the recording of Ek Din’s first song, as Aamir Khan Productions released a special video featuring the beautifully rendered track sung by Arijit Singh.

The actor reportedly stayed for four days with the singer and his family, hoping to persuade him to reconsider his decision. 

Speculation about Arijit’s exit had been gaining momentum until Aamir shared a poster thanking the singer for lending his voice to his upcoming film ‘Ek Din’. For Aamir, whose cinema often hinges on emotional authenticity, Arijit’s voice was indispensable for the romantic narrative.

The film stars Sai Pallavi and Junaid Khan, and is directed by Sunil Pandey. Produced by Aamir Khan, Mansoor Khan, and Aparna Purohit, the romantic drama is slated for a theatrical release on May 1, 2026.
