The excitement around BTS’s highly anticipated comeback has reached fever pitch. After a nearly four-year hiatus during which all seven members completed mandatory military service, the band is set to release a new album on March 20, 2026, and embark on a massive world tour called the Arirang World Tour, spanning 79 shows across 34 cities from April 2026 to March 2027.
But while many fans around the globe are celebrating, Indian ARMY—the devoted local fan community—are feeling disheartened. As the official tour schedule was revealed, India was notably absent from the list of tour stops, leaving fans disappointed and emotional.

Viral video of a young ARMY and her father melts hearts
Adding an emotional layer to the disappointment, a video that has now gone viral shows just how deeply the absence of an India stop has affected fans. In the clip, a young BTS fan is seen visibly disheartened and crying after learning that the group has skipped India from their comeback world tour.
Well, as the fan girl breaks down after learning the same, her father gently tries to console her, even though he is clearly unfamiliar with BTS and their global fandom.
What truly touched hearts online was the father’s instinctive response to his daughter’s tears. In an attempt to comfort her, he innocently says, “Give me their phone number, we will make them come.”
Hearing this, the girl explains through tears that BTS are from South Korea and that they cannot simply come on request. She adds that to see them, one has to travel all the way to South Korea.
Without a moment’s hesitation, the father immediately agrees and reassures her, saying that they will go to South Korea and that she should stop crying. Toward the end of the video, he is even seen asking someone nearby to tell him more about South Korea, highlighting a parent’s unconditional willingness to step into an unfamiliar world just to make his child happy.

The video has struck a chord with Indian BTS fans, many of whom called it a perfect reflection of the emotional bond between ARMY and BTS, as well as the quiet sacrifices parents make for their children. For many fans, the clip perfectly captures both the heartbreak of missing out on a BTS concert in India and the warmth of unwavering parental support.

Hope Remains for Future Dates
Despite the disappointment, many fans are holding onto hope. In announcements and fan discussions, there’s talk that BigHit Music could still add dates later—possibly including India, given its large and passionate BTS following. For now, the absence of an Indian stop has left local ARMY disappointed but still hopeful that future announcements could change the situation.
