Black Panther 3: Ryan Coogler confirms return to Wakanda; says, 'working hard'

Ryan Coogler has officially put all speculation to rest- he’s returning to Wakanda. While Marvel Studios hasn’t yet made a formal franchise announcement, the filmmaker himself revealed that he is actively crafting Black Panther 3. "We’re Working on It Hard": Coogler Opens Up

Speaking at an event in Los Angeles celebrating Oscar hopeful Sinners, Coogler told Deadline that he’s deep into preparations for the threequel.

He said, "If it was anybody but you, I would say, ‘I can neither confirm or deny.' But we’re working on it hard… Yeah, it’s the next movie.” His candid admission marks a reassuring moment for fans eager to see where the story heads after Wakanda Forever.

Wakanda Forever’s Ending Already Pointed to the Future

The world of Wakanda is already primed for its next chapter. Black Panther: Wakanda Forever ended with a major surprise- introducing Prince T’Challa, played by Divine Love Konadu-Sun. The character is revealed as the son of King T’Challa (the late Chadwick Boseman) and Nakia (Lupita Nyong’o). The sequel made it clear that "Black Panther will return."

In the film, Shuri, portrayed by Letitia Wright, stepped into the mantle of Black Panther, setting the stage for multiple potential story paths in the next installment.

Boseman, who passed away in 2020 at 43 following a private fight with colon cancer, continues to be celebrated for his artistry.
