Bigg Boss 19: Netizens want Salman Khan to be replaced as host; reason can’t be ignored

The latest twist in Bigg Boss 19 has once again sparked outrage among viewers, with many demanding Salman Khan’s replacement as the show’s host. 

The reason? Fans believe the show has completely lost its credibility and fairness this season.

Shehbaz Becomes Captain, Fans Cry Foul

Interestingly, the controversy began when Gaurav was given two tricky options to become captain — either he takes the captaincy with only 30% ration for the house while everyone gets nominated, or he gives up the position to Shehbaz, ensuring 100% ration and no nominations. Gaurav chose to keep the captaincy, triggering a dramatic chain of events.

Housemates immediately called out Bigg Boss for being “unfair,” pointing out that the choices were deliberately designed to create chaos. 

Following the backlash, Bigg Boss scrapped the earlier task and called everyone to the assembly room for a re-vote. This time, the majority voted for Shehbaz — making him the new captain. However, in a surprising twist, everyone, including Gaurav, still ended up being nominated, which fans found even more unfair.

Netizens accused the makers of favouring Shehbaz because of his sister’s closeness with Salman Khan. Many users wrote that Shehbaz is getting an unfair push, just like Amaal and Kunika, who also seem to enjoy special treatment on the show. 

Fans flooded social media with posts demanding a new, impartial host next season. One user wrote, “Bigg Boss has lost all credibility this season. Salman Khan supports industry insiders while genuine players are sidelined.” Another added, “They should stop calling it a reality show now — it’s a scripted drama.”

Pattern of Biased Decisions

This is not the first time Bigg Boss 19 has faced backlash. Earlier, fans slammed the makers for evicting Baseer Ali and Abhishek Bajaj, calling the eliminations “completely scripted.” Viewers argued that both contestants were strong performers but were removed to make room for “favourites.”

Similarly, Amaal’s repeated escape from nominations despite conflicts with other contestants has only fueled the allegations of bias. Many believe the makers are trying to protect certain participants to keep the TRPs high.

Farrhana’s Team Joins the Outrage

Adding to the controversy, Farrhana’s team recently criticised Salman Khan after the latest Weekend Ka Vaar episode, where the host was seen targeting her for her gameplay. Her team called the remarks “unfair and disrespectful,” further intensifying online anger against the show’s bias.

Meanwhile, many argue that the show needs a neutral, non-industry host next season to restore its authenticity.
