Fourth Trailer Shifts Gears

On Tuesday, Marvel Studios has released the fourth trailer for Avengers: Doomsday, presenting a fresh perspective on the film while spotlighting a crossover between Black Panther and the Fantastic Four. The drop came unexpectedly soon after the third official preview, which had already confirmed the return of the X-Men.

Instead of teasing explosive clashes, the trailer takes a quieter, more immersive route. It lingers on mood and setting, allowing viewers to absorb the emotional weight of its characters and the worlds they come from, rather than rushing toward spectacle.

Wakanda Meets Talokan on New Ground

The new trailer of Avengers: Doomsday opens with Letitia Wright’s Shuri, firmly stepping into her role as Black Panther. Tenoch Huerta also appears as Namor, accompanied by the Talokanil. In a visually striking moment, the once-underwater civilisation is shown on land, framed by what looks like a barren, desert-like environment. The unfamiliar terrain suggests shifting dynamics and evolving alliances, hinting that established boundaries in the Marvel universe may soon be tested.

A Moment of Levity

Winston Duke’s M’Baku is seen alongside the Dora Milaje, cutting through the seriousness with a brief, humorous exchange. He introduces himself as “King M’Baku of Wakanda,” only to be met with a characteristically dry response from Ebon Moss-Bachrach’s Ben Grimm, or The Thing, who casually mentions his Yancy Street address. The interaction offers a lighthearted beat while underscoring the long-awaited meeting between Wakanda and the Fantastic Four.

Two Worlds, One Future

The trailer wraps up with a title card declaring, “The Wakandans and the Fantastic Four will return in Avengers: Doomsday,” firmly confirming that these powerful forces will unite as Marvel moves into its next phase.

Leaked Footage Added to the Hype

Before its official release, the same one-minute trailer of Avengers: Doomsday had reportedly leaked online following an alleged screening at a theatre in Paris. The footage quickly spread across social media platforms before being taken down, further fuelling online chatter.

Avengers: Doomsday is scheduled to hit theatres on December 18, 2026.
