The audience caught the first glimpse of the film’s antagonist in War 2, heightening anticipation for the project. While fans are eagerly waiting to witness 'Lord Bobby' in another menacing avatar, recent reports suggest 'rift' between Alia and Bobby during the shoot.

Amid these developments, an old episode of Koffee With Karan has resurfaced online. In the clip, Sidharth Shukla appeared alongside Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt while promoting Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania.

The Viral Throwback: Sidharth Speaks Out

During the conversation, Shukla candidly shared, "Aur agar Alia set pe pehle aa gayi, aur Varun late aa gaya, mein late aa gaya, toh then there is a fight on the set."

Varun hinted that he was hesitant to speak openly before KJo, as he considers Alia as his daughter, but admitted she often created issues on set.

Shukla then stood up and added, "Mera aur Varun ka ek bahut hi acha scene tha movie mein, usme Alia nahi thi. Toh, Alia ne woh scene dekha aur usse bahut acha laga and then uska problem tha ki woh uss scene mein nahi hai. Toh usne woh scene katwa diya woh."

Varun backed his co-star’s account, making the segment one of the most discussed moments from the episode.

Meanwhile, Alia can be seen getting uncomfortable following the revelations.

What Led to the Alleged Rift Between Alia and Bobby?

According to a report by 123 Telugu, creative inputs during scenes reportedly became the root of disagreement. The report claims Alia frequently offered suggestions, even during scenes involving Bobby Deol. When Deol allegedly resisted certain changes, tensions are said to have escalated.

While there has been no official statement, industry buzz hints at creative disagreements that allegedly created strain on set.

The situation reportedly required intervention from producer Aditya Chopra to ensure the shoot proceeded smoothly and stayed on schedule.

The OTT Turn for Alpha?

Adding another layer to the speculation are reports that Alpha may bypass theatres and release directly on OTT. As per a report in Deccan Chronicle, “Aditya Chopra had hoped that the female-hero genre would get a boost with Mardaani, so that Alpha could be projected as Alia’s hero film."

The publication further stated, “But with Mardaani 3 underperforming and the Spy Universe taking a beating with War 2, Alpha is now a suspended project at Yashraj."

While the report suggests the film may head for a direct OTT premiere, Alia Bhatt is reportedly contesting this decision. As of now, there has been no official confirmation regarding the release strategy.
