Music composer and singer Amaal Mallik has finally opened up about the mystery girl he spoke about during his stint on Bigg Boss 19.
During the show, Amaal had revealed that he harboured feelings for someone outside the house, clarifying even then that the connection was one-sided and that the woman was unaware of his emotions.
Now, weeks after the reality show ended, the composer has confirmed that the chapter has closed and that he is currently single.

“It Did Not Work Out the Way I Thought”
In a conversation with Faridoon Shahryar, Amaal candidly spoke about his current relationship status. He said that while Bigg Boss 19 brought him immense love and professional success, something personal failed to reach completion. He shared that he only recently came to terms with the fact that the connection he hoped would grow did not work out as expected.
Amaal clarified that he does not blame the show or its makers for what happened. Instead, he pointed to the narratives created outside the house, which complicated matters and affected his personal life.
How Public Perception Changed a Private Emotion
Reflecting on his Bigg Boss journey, Amaal said that his image and intentions were often misunderstood. According to him, audiences turned friendships into romantic “shipping,” respect into dating rumours, and even casual interactions into headlines about a “secret girlfriend.” He firmly stated that there was no hidden relationship, only an honest emotional conversation that began from his heart.
Amaal added that he did not hesitate to express his feelings publicly and that the person he cared about did hear him. However, he stressed that there was no drama, no names, and no one individual to blame—only a system where noise often drowns out honesty.
Why the Mystery Girl Walked Away
The composer revealed that the woman did not belong to the film or music industry and was someone he had known for nearly 13 years as a friend. Unfamiliar with gossip, speculation, and public scrutiny, she struggled to cope with strangers defining her place in his life. Amaal said that she and the people around her believed what was written and felt that walking away was the safest option.
He chose not to name her, explaining that he did not want to bring chaos into her life. When asked about her now, Amaal said he smiles not because he has something to hide, but because he has already lost something meaningful.

A Final Word on Love and Speculation
Admitting that he has never been lucky in love, Amaal urged people to put an end to false speculations linking him to his Bigg Boss housemates. For him, the story was never about controversy—but about a quiet connection that couldn’t survive the noise of the outside world.
