Sachet–Parampara Accuse Amaal Mallik

A few days ago, Sachet and Parampara shared a strongly worded video on Instagram, accusing Amaal Mallik of making “false and baseless” claims about the origins of Bekhayali. The duo alleged that Amaal had repeatedly suggested that the song was inspired by a tune he had shared with them earlier.

Calling the video necessary for their “mental peace,” they firmly stated that Bekhayali was entirely their original composition. According to them, the song was created during music sessions attended by the full Kabir Singh team, including director Sandeep Reddy Vanga and actor Shahid Kapoor. They claimed to possess chat records to support their version and denied using any reference shared by Amaal.

In the caption, they openly criticised the composer, writing that exposing the issue had become important to shut down rumours surrounding the song’s originality.

Amaal Mallik Responds: “I’ll Take the Bullet but Speak the Truth”

Breaking his silence in an interview with Zoom, Amaal Mallik dismissed the accusations, stating that he has never taken credit for work he didn’t create. He asserted that he has never claimed Bekhayali as his song nor denied recreating music when he has done so in the past.

Amaal also pointed out that none of the composers whose songs he has recreated have accused him of destroying or stealing their work. Addressing the public nature of the allegations, he questioned why the matter was raised on social media instead of being taken to court. He added that if anyone genuinely believes he copied their music, they should pursue legal action.

What Sparked the Dispute?

The disagreement traces back to earlier remarks by Amaal, where he claimed he had shared a tune with Sachet–Parampara via WhatsApp, which was later used as a reference for Bekhayali. The duo has strongly refuted this, insisting the melody was conceived independently during collaborative sessions.

No Legal Action Yet

As of now, neither side has indicated plans to take legal steps. With interviews, videos, and statements continuing to surface, the origin of Bekhayali remains at the heart of the dispute, keeping the music industry and fans closely watching how the controversy unfolds.
