Malayalam actor Roshan Matthew will be joining the star cast of Alia Bhatt's upcoming movie Darlings. Produced by Shah Rukh Khan's Red Chillies Entertainment, the movie will also star Shefali Shah as Alia's mother.
According to reports, Matthew will be playing a small but very crucial role. The actor debuted in Hindi films earlier this year with Anurag Kashyap's Choked released on Netflix.

Shefali Shah is elated to be a part of Alia Bhatt's Darlings. While talking to an entertainment portal, the Emmy Awards Nominee said, that she loved the script and gave a nod instantly. The report further says, "Shefali Shah is very excited to work with her favorite Alia Bhatt for the first time and play her onscreen mother who, along with her daughter, kidnaps latter's abusive husband in the film. It's a very fascinating world to explore and Shah is thrilled to be a part of it."

Darlings is a female-led dark comedy that will go on the floor in February 2021. The movie will be directed by Jasmeet K Reen the screenplay writer of Force 2 and Pati Patni Aur Woh. Reen will be debuting as director with this flick.
Vijay Varma known for his portrayal of Moeen in Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh movie Gully Boy will be playing the abusive husband of the Kalank actress.
Alia Bhatt to Join RRR Team Post Shooting for Gangubai Kathiawadi
Alia's last movie Sadak 2 released on Disney Plus Hotstar was slammed by netizens and became one of the most disliked movies on the internet. However, it did not in any way affect the career of Aloo who has a lineup of major movies in her kitty.
She already has completed most of the shooting for Ayan Mukerjee's Brahmastra with Ranbir Kapoor. Currently, she is busy shooting for Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Gangubai Kathiawadi. Post that she will be joining the team of SS Rajamouli-directed RRR.
Rumors are also adrift that Alia Bhatt will be a part of SLB's Baiju Bawra with Deepika Padukone and Ranbir Kapoor.
