Now, 2026 arrives with a stacked slate- where legendary franchises, visionary directors, and returning superstars promise one of the most crowded and exciting release calendars in recent memory.

The Odyssey
Christopher Nolan ventures into ancient Greece with his ambitious retelling of Homer’s epic, following Odysseus of Ithaca on his perilous journey home. Shot entirely on IMAX cameras, the film features an ensemble cast including Matt Damon, Tom Holland, Zendaya, Anne Hathaway, and Robert Pattinson. With Nolan’s reputation for spectacle and scale, this July 14 release is already being tipped as the cinematic event of the year.
Avengers: Doomsday
The Marvel Cinematic Universe finds itself at a crossroads, and this film is positioned as its revival. Robert Downey Jr. returns to the franchise but as Dr Doom, with the Russo brothers back in the director’s chair. Featuring heroes spanning the original Avengers to the X-Men, this all-hands-on-deck spectacle arrives on December 18 as Marvel’s boldest gamble yet.
Spider-Man: Brand New Day
Tom Holland swings back as Peter Parker after the memory-wiping finale of No Way Home. This long-awaited fourth solo outing- uncharted territory for any Spider-Man- lands on July 31, carrying massive expectations for both Sony and Marvel.
Dune: Part Three
Though Frank Herbert’s original novel concluded with Dune Part Two, Denis Villeneuve expands the saga using material from the sequels. With Timothée Chalamet, Zendaya, Florence Pugh, and more returning- and Robert Pattinson joining the fold- the film releases December 18, setting up a major box-office clash.
The Devil Wears Prada 2
Fashion reigns supreme once more as Miranda Priestly returns after two decades. Meryl Streep, Anne Hathaway, and Stanley Tucci reprise their roles in this sequel focused on ambition, power, and couture. Release date: May 1.
Digger
Alejandro G. Iñárritu reunites with Tom Cruise for a dark comedy centered on the quest of the ‘most powerful man in the world’. Strange, provocative, and intriguing, the film opens on October 2.
Mandalorian and Grogu
Grogu makes his big-screen debut in this cinematic continuation of The Mandalorian. Starring Pedro Pascal, the Star Wars spinoff lands on May 22, marking the franchise’s first standalone theatrical release in years.
