The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) today postponed the Central Teachers Eligibility Test (CTET) exam 2020.

Due to the COVID-19 crisis, the board has postponed the July CTET exam 2020, which was scheduled to be held on July 5, 2020.

In a statement, CBSE has said that the next date of the test will be intimated to candidates after the COVID-19 situation improves or becomes more conducive for conducting the exam.

Union Human Resource Development Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal 'Nishank' informed that the decision related to the postponement of the national level teacher eligibility test has been taken in view of the current circumstances.

Once the situation improves, the next date for the July CTET exam will be announced, said the HRD Minister.

"The next date of examination will be intimated when the situation is more conducive for the conduct of examinations. All the candidates registered for CTET July 2020 are hereby informed that for any update they may visit CTET website www.ctet.nic.in regularly," official notification of the board read.
