Bhubaneswar: After revising the date sheet for the upcoming 2021 Class 10, 12 board examinations, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has come up with a new answer book for the practical exam.

As per the latest notice issued by the board, the cover page of practical answer book has been changed this year.

“The change has been made to synchronise with the instructions issued,” CBSE said in a release. The Board has also asked School authorities to ensure that the examiner is completing all entries carefully and correctly.

The CBSE has also asked Schools to ensure timely release of the PGTs deputed by the Board for the conduct of practical examination, project assessment so that the whole process of practical examination is completed within the stipulated time.

Non relieving of the teachers appointed as examiners will be viewed seriously and shall attract invocation of penalty provisions against the erring schools.

CBSE on Friday also released guidelines for conducting the practical examinations, project, internal assessment for classes 10 and 12.

Key Instructions

Conduct of Examination/ Assessment In Sessions

The practical, project assessment examinations should invariably be conducted in two sessions in a day if the number of candidates is more than 20.

In case of fine Arts, examination/ assessment shall invariably be conducted in two sessions in respect of each candidate.

Dates For Conduct

The practical examinations/project/ internal assessments shall be conducted from March 1 to June 11, 2021. No extension of dates shall be considered by the Board.

Class X (Regular Students)

The practical examinations/project/ internal assessments shall be conducted by the schools themselves for regular students only as per the curriculum of the subject concerned. No external examiner will be appointed by the Board.

Private Students: There will be no separate practical examinations/project/ internal assessments in respect of the private candidates. The marks prescribed for practical examination/project/internal assessment shall be computed on pro-rata basis based on the marks obtained in theory examination conducted by the Board.

Class 12 (Regular Students)

For the regular students sponsored through L.O.C of class 12, based on the eligibility /bonafide status of the student(s), practical examination/project/ internal assessment shall be conducted in the school.

Private Students: There will be no separate practical examinations/project/ internal assessments in respect of private candidates.
