The incident has triggered widespread outrage in the locality, exposing the persistent threat of domestic abuse and alcohol addiction.

According to police sources, the accused, who was reportedly intoxicated at the time of the incident, attacked his wife following a heated argument. The quarrel is believed to have erupted over suspicion of an extramarital relationship, after the husband objected to his wife speaking to another man over the phone.  The situation escalated quickly when the husband, in a fit of rage, allegedly grabbed a phunka nala (a heavy wooden pounding stick) lying near the kitchen and struck his wife multiple times. The woman sustained a deep head injury and died on the spot due to excessive bleeding and trauma.

Alerted by locals, the Jamanakira Police reached the scene, detained the accused husband, and initiated a detailed interrogation. A scientific team from the district headquarters also arrived to conduct forensic examination and collect evidence from the crime spot.

Police officials have assured that a thorough investigation is underway and strict action will be taken against the accused following completion of the inquiry.
