Girl stabs boyfriend to death for blocking her calls

A 22-year-old woman has been arrested for allegedly killing her boyfriend following a confrontation over blocked calls and messages.  The incident reported from Chhattisgarh’s Bilaspur district took place on Tuesday and has caused shock among local residents.

The victim, Kamta Prasad Suryavanshi (25), was employed at a local hotel and lived in a rented accommodation. According to police, he had met the accused, Roshni Suryavanshi, through Instagram about six months ago, after which the two entered into a relationship.

Blocking Calls & Messages

Investigators said tensions had been brewing for the past few days after Kamta allegedly stopped responding to Roshni’s calls and messages and blocked her number. Suspecting that he was involved with another woman, Roshni reportedly went to his residence carrying a knife.

Police said that when Kamta opened the door, she demanded access to his mobile phone. An argument followed after he refused to hand it over. During the altercation, Roshni allegedly stabbed him in the chest.

Succumbed To Stab Injuries

Kamta’s roommate, alerted by the noise, rushed to the room and found him lying in a pool of blood. He was taken to a hospital but succumbed to his injuries on the way.

Confirming the arrest, police officer Summat Sahu said a murder case has been registered. The accused has claimed she brought the knife only to intimidate him, a statement that investigators are currently examining.

Police also noted that the victim was related to BJP leader and district panchayat president Rajesh Suryavanshi. The body has been sent for post-mortem examination, and further investigation is ongoing.
