Youth shot dead by unidentified miscreants in Ganjam

Berhampur: A youth was shot dead by unidentified miscreants near Aska college square in Ganjam late Monday night. The deceased has been identified as Sadanand alias Bahan Lenka.

According to sources, the miscreants opened fired at Bahan while he was returning home with his associate on a bike late last night. Subsequently, Bahan died at the spot.

As per reports, Bahan was the brother of Kharia Sarpanch AravindaLenka. Though the exact reason behind the attack is still unclear, it is suspected that Lenka was killed over some political rivalry or past enmity.

Meanwhile, police have sent the body for post-mortem and initiated a probe into the incident.
