Woman’s dead body in car: Cops arrest husband from Kolkata

Bhubaneswar:  Sangram Aich, husband of Tanuja Aich, who was found dead inside a car parked at Sriram Nagar of Bhubaneswar, was arrested by police in Kolkata yesterday. Sangram who was absconding since Tanuja's body was recovered on Monday, has been brought on transit remand by Commisionerate Police.

Post-mortem report of Tanuja revealed that she suffered multiple injuries on her body and brain. Police said the exact reason behind the death could only be ascertained after interrogation of Sangram.

Earlier, police had seized the CCTV footage from a nearby mall which showed Sangram leaving the car in which Tanuja's body was found.

Family members of Tanuja have alleged that Sangram was torturing her for the last 3 to 4 years and had even threatened to marry another woman. As per the relatives of Tanuja, Sangram had illicit relationships with other women and the couple was going through a rough patch.
